Sound Familiar?

Ingrown toenails affect how you walk, work, and sleep. You don't have to push through it.

👟

Every Shoe Hurts

Closed-toe shoes press on the inflamed nail border, turning every step into a negotiation between pain and your daily routine.

🔴

Red, Swollen, Getting Worse

That red, puffy skin along the nail edge is your body's inflammatory response to a nail growing into soft tissue. Untreated, it can progress to infection.

😤

Home Fixes Aren't Working

Soaking, cotton wedges, cutting the nail back — these temporary measures rarely resolve the underlying problem and can make it worse.

🔁

It Keeps Coming Back

Recurrent ingrown nails often signal a structural issue with the nail matrix — the growth center that determines nail shape and direction.

How We Fix It

A calm, structured process — from phone call to walking out pain-free.

1

Call or Book Online

Most patients are seen the same day or within 24–48 hours. We respect your time — no long waits, no runaround.

2

Evaluation & Treatment Plan

Dr. Patish examines the nail, assesses for infection, and explains your options clearly — including whether you need a procedure or conservative care.

3

In-Office Procedure

Local anesthesia keeps you comfortable. The ingrown portion is removed with precision — either partial or complete nail border excision with chemical matricectomy for permanent correction.

4

Walk Out, Pain Gone

You walk out of the office the same day. Simple aftercare instructions, a follow-up plan, and the relief of knowing it's handled.

Common Questions

Does the procedure hurt?

Local anesthesia numbs the toe completely before anything is done. Most patients say the numbing is the only part they feel — the actual procedure is painless. Many are surprised at how comfortable the experience is.

How long does the appointment take?

Most ingrown toenail procedures take 15–30 minutes from start to finish, including the numbing process. You can plan to be in and out of the office within about an hour including check-in and aftercare instructions.

Can I walk right after?

Yes. You walk out of the office on your own. Most patients return to normal activities the next day. We recommend open-toed shoes or loose footwear for a few days while the area heals.

Will it grow back?

Chemical matricectomy — the standard treatment we use — has a high success rate for permanent correction. The chemical is applied to the nail matrix (growth center) to prevent regrowth of the problematic nail border. Recurrence rates are low with proper technique.

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept most major insurance plans. If you don't have insurance or prefer to self-pay, we offer transparent cash pricing. Call us at (760) 728-4800 and our team will verify your benefits before your visit.

What if my toe is already infected?

Infected ingrown nails are treated frequently in our office. Dr. Patish will evaluate the infection, prescribe antibiotics if needed, and often perform the corrective procedure during the same visit. Don't wait — infections worsen without treatment.

Ready to Stop the Pain?

One appointment. Same-day treatment. Walk out feeling like yourself again.
